With the aim of strengthening each other in the areas of innovation, business development, and knowledge sharing, Hive Aerospace Collective and the Aerospace Innovation Hub at the Delft University of Technology signed a three-year collaboration agreement. Within this new partnership, the two organizations will help each other by making use of each other’s networks, knowledge, and expertise. The focus is specifically on innovation in Aerospace MRO&U and the application of new technologies in the civil-military aviation sector.

Collaboration activities

A number of activities will be undertaken in the scope of the collaboration between HIVE and Aerospace Innovation Hub (AIH), including:

  • An annual inspiration session facilitated by AIH that connects relevant start-ups, student teams, and researchers to the learning needs of HIVE organizations on topics such as MRO&U, robotization, automation, AI in aviation, Hangar of the Future, sustainable aviation, electric flying, etc.
  • Connecting relevant researchers, start-ups, and scale-ups from AIH to (the challenges within) HIVE.
  • Offering opportunities to AIH’s start-up/scale-up community in the field of business development and providing an office for this purpose. The goal is to eventually realize such a community locally, within HIVE.
