Chromalloy and TiaT-Europe share their NDT activities

Two companies from the external HIVE network presented their work in the field of NDI/NDT to organizations in our cluster:

• Chromalloy, internationally active in the maintenance and repair of aircraft jet engine components, explained its NDT activities within this segment during the session. It also provided an overview of the repair methods used.
• TiaT-Europe, specializing in aircraft inspections and training in the field of non-destructive testing, explained its NDT activities in the field of aircraft structure.
• Discussions about innovation and sector capacity

During this knowlede session, specific attention was also paid to:

• Innovation opportunities within NDI/NDT
• NDT capacity in the aviation sector
• Training of qualified aircraft inspection and maintenance personnel

These topics sparked a lively discussion between the speakers and attendees.

Joint challenges call for follow-up

The conclusion of the discussion and the closing networking reception was that the challenges in the sector are best tackled jointly. It was agreed to explore further possibilities in follow-up discussions.
